Hedgehog Escape! Brainteaser Puzzle
This was by far the favourite new puzzle form this company! The set up is quick and straighforward, and the rules are easy to grasp. The unusual shape of the "nest" of hedghog babies requires that you think a little differently about how to move it around. Our testers loved rolling, flipping and turning it to be positioned just right to jump the wall back to Mother hedgehog.
NOTE: If you enjoy this puzzle, you'll probably also like Say Cheese by the same company - similar type of roll moving, but with multiple (instead of just one piece) cubes and squared pillar shapes.
It's a fun game, it can be done really fast if you turn the hedgehogs the right way; or the same game can last a while. I have retried certain levels to see if I can take a different path to get to the end. I like that the mother peeks over the hedge, it's like she is trying to help her babies. I like that the answers are in the back so that if I get to stuck I can have a quick peek. The badgers are funny and it's weird how there is always one in the way of where I want to go! This was a real favourite brain teaser. The hedgehogs are a unique shape so you have to think about moving them around a little differently. It comes with lots of puzzles and they definitely have some good challenging ones. All my kids (F9, F13, M15) liked this one and I have done about 2/3's of them myself. How does a hedgehog make his getaway? Through a hedge, of course! When ten little hedgehogs are surprised by some bad-news badgers, they have to roll together to reach the low spot in the hedge where Mother Hedgehog is waiting. (True fact: badgers eat hedgehogs!)
The Goal: Help the spiny guys escape by rolling them safely past the badgers. It’s not so easy! There’s only one way all ten can clear the hedge in a single roll.
The Challenges: 50 different setups challenge you to foil the badgers.
