Review

This comprehensive introduction to star-gazing includes tools and projects to better understand the goings on in the sky above – both at night, and in broad daylight. Building your own telescope was our kid-testers favourite activity, but they also enjoyed making a sun-dial, tracking the moon and using a sailors’ quadrant.

Tester Feedback

I got to make a sundial and a telescope. I looked at the moon and the planet Venus and next time there's a meteor shower, Dad is going to let me stay up to see it. Maybe I can bring the sundial to school for show my teacher how it works. - Kael (M7)

This was a wonderful hands-on activity.  It was great for bringing to the cottage.  My daughter (8) not only enjoyed making the activities, but she learned a ton about the solar system and planets. - Liz Harding
