Our testers enjoyed using this globe to discover bits of information about different places around the world. Parents liked that this interactive preschool globe not only helps younger kids understand that there are difrerent places around the world with different animals and music and even some different foods. And older kids can begin to appreciate where they live on relation to other countries.
The globe features an age-appropriate selection of simplified content – about the same as a good picture book. Each continent has a selection of touch buttons featuring native foods and/or animals, as well as a sampling of countries found there. (There are a total of 13 countries highlighted on the globe.) The food and animal buttons say a couple of fun facts each, but the bulk of this globes content is found using the touch spots for the 13 countries. Information includes nationalities, a favourite sport and 2-3 musical selections for each country. Kids learn...
I like to push the buttons and I learn about places in the world, their food, animals, songs. I don't know too much about different countries. Camilla (F6)
Blaze m5 really learned a lot from playing with the globe but once he learned all there was to learn he stopped playing with it. The girls f3 and f22m would pick it up here and there and press a few buttons. I was a bit disappointed that the music for each country was not anthems. Love the bumpy surface and colours. We also love the diffeent games and discovery options but i am worried about stickers beginning to peel. Tammy Wiseman
