Tales to Play™ Where the Wild Things Are™ Game

I liked the monsters and how the person that throws the highest number on their dice moves ahead, it's like a mini competition every time. I had not read the book before, but now I want to and Mom says there is a movie too, cool! Sébastien (M9)
We enjoyed playing the game, it's a no-brainer and the dice decide who goes next. Great idea to have the dice color coded - no arguments about which dice belongs to them. The kids started giving personalities to the monsters, that was cute. Knowing the story explains a bit more why there are weird looking beasts, but Sébastien just accepted them are being part of the game. At one point you are to chose a wild thing and attach your Max by a little pin that fits on the base, well, all the Max characters kept falling off while moving the game pieces. As for game play it is very very easy, not many rules. The package says 6+, but you need someone older to be able to read the wild cards as the language is way to difficult for a 6 yr old to read and it doesn't have any pictures that would help them guess or remember what the card says. Now after saying all of this; the boys liked the game and immediately wanted to play again. Marie-Lise Hache
The Where the Wild Things Are Game brings Max and the wild things to life in the beautifully detailed characters and wonderfully illustrated dimensional game board. Children get to imagine they are Max, travelling to the forest and becoming king of the wild things as they roll their dice and draw cards that help or hinder their journey. Once they reach the top of the hill and get their scepter they race to be the first Max home to win! Love the book, now live the game!
