I made a great story with both Belle and me in it. I really like the glitter pens.See this family's testing journal

Crayola Story Studio has got the girls very excited. Kierra (5.5) and Hailee (3.5) couldn`t wait to start on their princess project books. We already have a crayola account so we just needed to enter the access code and we were ready to create the princess story of their choice. The site was not very intuitive. We did the facial scan and were disappointed. The recognition is not very good....it doesn't resemble the girls at all. Kierra chose Rapunzel and Hailee chose Belle. They designed how they would look and then printed and started to colour. The marker set included is great. There are some nice fine tip markers and lots of colours to choose from. We made the mistake of putting the spine on the projects and then colouring but the colouring leaked through to the pages below. The girls were pretty upset so we had to reprint. Without being able to have the pages in the spine I found that there was always a mess of princess colouring ages all over and we didn`t know what order to put them in. There are lots of pages to these projects and the girls lost interest after a couple of pages. Unfortunately there was a major glitter explosion so keep in mind this can be a messy activity.See this family's testing journal

This toy is a good idea. Unlike other crayola items outside of the usual crayons that really don't work, this one does. You do need a computer and a printer in order to use it. The face morphing feature is a fun idea - you import a picture into the crayola website (you have to register) and it the morphs the face into a drawing. My daughter did 2 pictures - neither one of them looked liked her - she didn't seem to care. You can create about 10 different "colouring book stories" with this - which at first I didn't think was enough, but since we have only used 6 of the them - I guess it was. The kit only comes with enough paper and binding to do 3 books, but the binding can be reused. Since this items is under $15 and can often be found for less than $10 it is a good quick gift idea or something that can be used in loot bags.See this family's testing journal
