A very clever use of chess moves to create a unique 4 x 4 peg solitaire-style puzzle game. Once you position the chess pieces as shown on the puzzle card, use classic chess moves to capture a piece each move until only one piece remains. In typical ThinkFun style, you're given a variety of different puzzle scenarios (60 total) that get more challenging as you work your way through them. Great for chess lovers - or as an activity for beginning chess players to practice the movement patterns of chess pieces. More challenging for those not saavy to chess logic, but eaiser than playing a real game of chess. A great way to exprience those enriching cognitive benefits so often associated with playing chess. An excellent puzzle enjoyed by our testers - both the kids and most of the adults, too.
I love chess and I like to play games on my own, so I really like this game! I can do almost all of the challenges on my own. - Zachary (M7)
We still all fight over who gets to play it- including myself and my husband. The adults are nearing the end of the challenges, but are still chugging along happily. Though my husband is by far the superior chess player, I am doing pretty well myself. The kids (M6, M7, F9) are still enthusiastic about challenging themselves and have definitely become more interested in bringing out the real chess board. Fantastic game! - Rebecca Young, Parent
