Kids love the colours. Teachers love time saved not having a pencil sharpening line. Parents love that there's no messy shavings and that these will last longer than regular pencil crayons. And everyone loves the environmentally impact of making these wood-free. Kids liked that the tips won't break off like they sometimes do with the regular pencil crayons, but note that if dropped hard, these will break (both halves still usable). The pentagon shape makes it easy to do both fine lines and broad strokes, but some testers wished for a pointy end that would give them more control over the fine lines they draw. No problem. If you want, pick an end and sharpen it the traditional way (use the larger sharpening hole).
