Our testers loved this puzzle-making game where each player has five 4-piece puzzles to complete. What's unique about this game is that it uses a deck of cards, rather than a spinner or die, to determine which piece to place. Doing it this way reduces the some of the randomness in the game, since any given piece will appear only four times as players work though the deck. Besides speeding up the game a bit (players are never stuck with the frustration of repeatedly spinning the same unneeded piece), there is also a potential for kids to intuit some early strategy - especially if parents help them see it. For example, if three parrot cards have already turned up, it's best to use the Spuzzle card to add a parrot piece, since the chance of it turning up is less likely with three of them already gone. Overall, a fun game that's refreshingly different than the usual preschool game format.
I play this game almost every day. I love it. I like to play with it before I go to school with my sister (6). I even play with my toys - I give each one a colour and I like to be purple. My favourite card is the Spuzzle card. That's a neat word. Andrew (M4)
The kids (ages M7, F5 and F3) love this game and wanted to play over and over again. The rules are very easy to follow - Kierra (age 5) was able to explain the rules to a friend and they played with ease. It is great that this game can be played on your own or with 3 other people. The game is pure luck and requires little skill other than making puzzles. It is a great introduction to games as players learn to take turns. Jo McGillivry, Parent
Spuzzle is a fun and easy game where you must be the first to finish your 5 puzzles project!
