Our testing families gave an enthusiastic thumbs up for this exciting draw and discard game. Players take turns drawing a card and deciding whether or not to exchange it with one of their cards - an easy decision if it replaces a higher face-up card; riskier when it's an unknown face-down card. Our kid-testers loved the thrill of turning over the unknown card to see if they made a good trade.
I like that we can be many players. It is a little stressful when you have to choose a card to exchange and you don't know what number is under the card. sometimes I exchange a 10 points card and the card under is like a 5 or something, that was not a good exchange! Mia (F8)
It is exciting to flip over your card and see if you have made a good decision to trade it. This is a great game that allows kids to practice math without even realizing it. Jo McGillivray, Parent
In Flip Six, even young players learn adding and subtracting strategies as they get rid of their high cards. Starting each round with six cards, players try to reduce their points by getting rid of cards and/or swapping them for lower cards. After ten rounds, player with the lowest cumulative score wins. Game includes 55 cards, including negative numbers.
